Greetings,
Always on the lookout for a lightweight holster I was surprised to see that Fist offered a very thin Kydex material to use in their IWB holsters. I have had very poor results with Blade-Tech, etc in that they use a material that is so thick it feels like steel plate and does not "give" to the curve on my body. Fist was willing to try their ultra-thin material for a pancake style holster for the P-32 due to the guns light weight (usually they only use the material on their IWB). As I always wear an outer garment be it a t-shirt or a coat I always buy holsters that go on the outside of the belt.
I have been using the little Fist holster for over a month now and I can say without hesitation that it is the best set-up for me. It is light as a feather, the thin material bends slightly, and I love the "snick" sound as the gun locks into the holster each morning. I ordered mine with 1.5 inch belt slots to go with a new belt that I got on special ($12) from Don Hume leathergoods when I was ordering a belt slide for a P-11, and this belt size has worked well for weekend pants as well as dress slacks. I am on the thin side (getting wider each year) and usually a gun on my hip sticks out like one of Dumbo's ears. This rig holds the gun high and pulled in close to my love handle, but still allows a good purchase on the grip. Last weekend I gave it a workout hiking and downhill biking on the hills here in Park City. I gave it every chance to "pop" out (including a rather funny endo over the handlebars... well my wife thought it was funny) but the little holster held the gun firm.
Regards,
Joe
