My first post. Well, I have seen Kel Tecs in the gun shops for some time now. Never paid much attention, as I am into "serious" guns. My favorites are my M1, my 1911's and Sigs in 9,357sig and 45. Well I was at the range (sand pit)last week and this young guy was shooting this "toy" pistol". Asked if I could take a shot. WOW instant hooked. Bought one the next day. Did the "fluff and buff" and just love it. What a fun little pistol.

Welcome. Now you need to get a holster & upgrade to chrome or have it nickel plated if the you got the blue version. Lots of good advice here.

This is worth checking out http://www.gunsmith.fuselier.com
Go to the link "KTOGers click here for slide plating"

Jack Fuselier will nickel plate your slide for $25. The advantage is that he nickel plates YOUR slide. KT replaces your slide with a chrome one. Occasionally the replacement slide will not function reliably or as well as your original blue slide.
I have both a "Jacked" P-32 and another one that I got a chrome replacement slide. I like them both

Ok fellows...other than the rust problem why should I get a nickel or chrome job on my P-32. I carry daily in a leather pocket holster and have had no problem with rust .

Have had reports of rust even in pocket holsters. Have a hard chrome on mine, but my wife keeps her's black. Really think the Kel Tec chrome job is worthwhile. Also recommend adding the NAA finger rest. Really helps the grip and doesn't seem to affect the concealability.

Sky Soldier,

The only reason to do it is rust protection. If you don't have a problem, don't do it.
Quite honestly, I never had a problem but did it anticipating it might happen one day.

Thank you much, Alamo! You set my troubled mind to rest. I felt somewhat inferior that I had an all blued weapon!
