I thought I'd give the Kel-Tec factory another try at the metal guide rod. Today's mail came and to my delight there was a new chrome slide stop and metal guide rod. I tried to install the new slide stop and it would not go in it's little slot in the front of the slide all the way so that it would be flush with the front of the slide. I thought this to be odd, but I hoped that it was normal. It just can't be! when I reassembled the P-32, the metal guide rod stuck out about an eighth of an inch in front of the slide stop. Plus, the pistol didn't operate smoothly. I am disappointed and frustrated with Kel-Tec for sending me a slide stop that doesn't fit like the original.
Does anyone else have a P-32 that has a slide stop that doesn't fit "flush" with the end of the slide?

Can't help you with the slide stop. I think it's time to call it quits on the metal guide rod. Your polymer one works fine.
Call Carolyn on Monday and see what she says about the slide stop.
