Hello you all
I sent my P32 to the factory to have the slide and barrel replaced for the parkerized
type. I had to send it because it was
battering the front of the barrel hood and it also battered the slide.
when I got it from the factory and up till now it has been very reliable.
yesterday I put a box of FMJ ammo and when I came home I noticed the barrel hood and the
inside of the slide where dented or deformed.
I patiently stoned the burrs on the front of the barrel hood and the there was also one burr on the slide.
Does anybody else has this problem?
My gun is serial #16xxx and I only had It one week when I sent it to the factory and it stayed there for a month. I had it for a month now and I dont want to send it back.

The leading edge of the slide rails on my lower have battering marks After the first trip to the range and 100 rounds, I thought it was just normal wear and I was going to polish it. However yesterday after I put another two boxes through the gun, I checked it again. It doesn't look much worse but I noticed there are also small marks on the inside of the forward end of the slide where the rail hit. It also seems to easy to slap the slide against the receiver when pulling the slide back.

I think the gun needs a stronger recoil spring. I fired a box of PMC, Fiocchi, 2 boxes of S&B and a box of Cor Bon. Except for a few hard primers in the S&B (confirmed by giving some to a friend to shoot and seeing the same thing) the gun functioned without a malfunction through the first two hundred rounds. I really do not want to screw with it. Any other opinions out there?

Rick

My frame shows some wear of the black anodized coating on the top forward end of the slide rails of the frame. I consider this normal wear. May be somebody else can give us another opinion.
I called Kel-Tec and talked to carolyn about my slide and barrel problem and she told me to send the slide and barrel for replacement,
She indicated the problem could be a soft slide and barrel ( inadequate heat treatment).
I really like the little gun but I wish they
would get their quality control straight.
Their service is great and my P11 is very reliable.
I bought the wolff calibration spring kit and a steel recoil spring guide from kel-tec.
I had to polish the rod to make it work.
The spring kit is very good and also have three firing pin springs.
