Hammer Spring Removal Tool
by Chandler Bates
This is a color photo of my Kel-Tec hammer spring removal tool. I started with a $4.00 Stanley 7 1/2" pry bar. I used a
grinder to narrow and round each end so it would fit under the hammer spring catch. It pries it up out of its retaining slot in the grip by using the long (not curved) end as a lever against the front of the grip. Not too expensive and super convenient. Also, not quite as scary as some other more muscle intensive methods.
